Website Design and Build with Integrations
Branding, Graphic Design, Program Strategy, Web Development
Mary’s Place by the Sea is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a respite for women with cancer at its custom built home in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. In celebration of their remarkable growth and 15-year anniversary, they wanted to update their brand and launch a more user-friendly website. AAC worked closely with them to refresh their logo and create a site that improved their digital presence.
Listening, Learning, and Collaborating
AAC started by immersing ourselves in what it means to be a part of their mission from the perspective of guests, volunteers, and donors. We toured the 10-bedroom resort to absorb the essence of the house, staff and volunteers, paying special attention to the artwork, sounds, and the comforting elements of the home. With this, we fused our marketing expertise with the mission of Mary’s Place. Through weekly meetings, we collaborated to develop a modern website that reflects their holistic approach to healing and reaches more women with cancer than ever before.
A Cohesive Visitor Experience
To evoke a gentle and welcoming feel to the website, AAC’s design team developed a color palette inspired by the calming shore of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mary’s Place mission. The color palette guided the design, and we chose to use authentic photography to show the real-world impact of Mary’s Place.
The new website also needed to provide visitors a cohesive experience. This required back-end integration of a variety of SaaS platforms to manage large events, class scheduling, an electronic storefront, and donations. The development team at AAC made the integrations work seamlessly while the front-end maintained a consistent appearance and a smooth experience.
A Tapestry of Technology and Compassion
AAC successfully launched the Mary’s Place website ahead of their 15-year anniversary. With training to ensure Mary’s Place staff had the resources they needed to manage the site and post-launch support to answer any questions, Mary’s Place experienced a boom in site traffic, orders, and donations. The website performed beyond expectations and led to a record number of guest applications.
